摘要:The Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) assisted with stenting has become one of the effective means to cure coronary heart disease. In practice, the match configuration of balloon and stent and the stent design altogether affect the stent's instantaneous expanding results. The transitory non-uniform expansion of balloon-stent system, frequently named dogboning, is one of the main reasons to induce the acute vascular injury at stents both edges. This kind of vascular injury has a close relationship with the occurence of in-stent restenosis. In order to reduce the injury to decrease the in-stent restenosis, the transitorily expanding process of six different balloon-stent models were compared and analyzed by finite element method (FEM). The results suggested that the system's dogboning in expanding process could be effectively controlled by reducing the overlength of balloon and simultaneously increasing the strut width at the both ends of the stents. The results of experiments and simulation were consistent well, that indicated that FEM was one of the effective tools of design optimization of balloon-stent systems.
