Abstract:The analytical solution of 1st order conoidal wave induced seepage force on the bottom of a circular cylinder resting on porous elastic seabed is presented in this paper. By using this solution, some results are given for several sets of wave parameter and compared with those obtained by using linear wave theory. In order to verify the theoretical results, model tests were done in the wave flume. Test results show that the theoretical results calculated by using conoidal wave theory are quite close to the date measured in the tests, and those obtained by using linear wave theory give too small valued compared with the test data.
