Fast reconstruction of medical imaging surface based on segmentation

Abstract:By analyzing the trait of the MC(Marching Cubes) algorithm, this paper presents a new method for 3D surface reconstruction of the medical image based on segmentation. An appropriate method was applied to do the segmentation and reconstruction for the section data at the same time, such as CT, MRI, which improve the 3D reconstruction speed through utilizing the result to pick up an accurate isosurface and combining with the common section data. It proved the method can speed up the 3D rendering process and improve the results of 3D reconstruction evidently.
