The Orientation and Achieving Measures of the Training Objective for Mechanical Engineering Major under Engineering Education Accreditation

Abstract:Engineering education accreditation is an international implementation of quality assurance system, and also is the significant foundation of achieving the international recognition of engineering education and engineer qualification. Outcome based education is the core idea of engineering education. Training objective, not only is the general program of professional training, but also is the fundamental basis for the construction of professional knowledge to design curriculum system and carry out teaching activities. Taking the mechanical engineering major of Dalian university of technology for example, this paper systematically analyzed the orientation of professional training objective. On the basis, some specific measures for achieving the objective in education activities were proposed to improve the quality of engineer education further.
