A DC Vacuum Circuit Breaker Module Based on a Rapid Actuator with Linkage Commutation

摘要:A new high voltage DC vacuum circuit breaker based on modules in series with rapid actuator and linkage commutation is introduced in this paper. This DC vacuum circuit breaker module adopts the current commutation principle, and all actions include opening the main loop, closing the commutation loop and isolating capacitor charging circuit by a single rapid actuator. The single rapid actuator has the function of main loop repulsion breaking and permanent magnet holding. Linkage between main current breaking and closing operation of the commutation loop simplifies the structure of the DC vacuum circuit breaker. Based on these ideas, a DC vacuum circuit breaker module is made. The simulation analysis is carried out on the repulsion force output and the cooperation between the switches of the module prototype, and the fault current of 8.5kA is successfully opened by DC fault current interruption test, the commutation current frequency is 1kHz and 5kHz, the fault current decline rate is 53A/mu s similar to 243A/mu s.
