Frost resistance property of concrete doped with scrap rubber powder

摘要:The quick frost method was used to measure the mass loss rate and relative dynamic elastic modulus of rubberized concrete and ordinary concrete. The frost resistance property of the rubberized concrete in seawater environment was studied by comparing the difference of mass loss rate and relative dynamic elastic modulus between rubberized concrete and ordinary concrete. Results show that, the frost resistance property of rubberized concrete is superior to ordinary concrete in seawater environment, when the water-cement ratio was 0.40 the rubberized concrete could undertake 150 times freeze-thaw cycles, which is 2 times higher than ordinary concrete. The enhancement on frost resistance property is obvious by adding rubber power into concrete under the effect of freeze-thaw cycle and media corrosion, and this enhancement decreases with the water-cement ratio increasing. ? 2013 Taylor & Francis Group, London, UK.
