Abstract:Metal fibres Cu(60)Zn(40) from vibration cutting were used as a self  supported catalytic material for selective dehydrogenation of C3 to C8 aliphatic alcohols and cyclohexanol. Investigations of the dehydrogenation effect show excellent selectivity (  90%) at various conversion and certain temperature range. Another specification is its sustention toward relatively high space velocity that might provide an approach to improve production. The specific surface area as well as the morphology of the sample catalyst were examined. ? 1993, Elsevier Science & Technology.
