Abstract:A series of novel 2-phenyliminothiazolidine derivatives were designed and synthesized. All title compounds were characterized by H-1 NMR and, in some cases, by C-13 NMR, IR, and HRMS. Their agricultural bioactivities were evaluated and some of these compounds exhibited efficient herbicidal activities against Echinochloa crusgalli, Sorghum vulgare, Digitaria sanguinalis, Eclipta prostrasta, Cucumis sativus, and Brassica campestris at 50 mu g/cm(3). Analysis of the quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) showed that the electronic parameter was the main factor to affect herbicidal activities.
