Personal Profile

Fuguo Xu is a full professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Sophia University in 2019. Before joining DUT, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Sophia University from October 2019 to October 2021, as an assistant professor at Tokyo City University from November 2021 to March 2023, and as an associate professor at Chiba University from April 2023 to February 2025. His research interests include optimal control and applications in automotive powertrain systems.
