Abstract:The developing applications of opening computerized numerical control (CNC) system required hard real-time timer support, while the precision and stability of real-time extension (RTX) timer need to be strictly detected when applying to opening CNC system applications. By using RDTSC to count CPU basic clock cycle, which served as standard detected clock signal, the precision and stability of RTX timer was practically detected. The detected data from actual laboratory result provides the prediction ability of RTX timer actual computing workload for developer of opening CNC system applications.
