Abstract:When applying CFD to design an indoorenvironment,the therm alboundary conditions ofinteriorsurfaces of some externalw all s are notknown because they are closely related to the outdoor climate.This investigation proposes a method to specify therm al boundary conditions to the exterior surfaces of the external walls based on the outdoor clim atic inform ation.An office environm entincluding one externalw allis modeled.The simulation results show thatthe distribution of surface temperatures and surface heat fluxes on interior surfaces of the external wall is highly non-uniform .How ever,with this method,the detailed therm alconditions on the interior surface of the external wall can be conveniently obtained,which is very helpful for designing.
