Abstract:Based on thermodynamic equilibrium method, a mathematical model of non- isothermal humidification process in porous material was set up and verified by an experiment through recording the moisture accumulation. Subject to the environment with sharp temperature changes, the simulations were carried out on 0.8 and 1.0 atm with the same parameters as the validation case and the influence of low- pressure with 0.8 atm on moisture transfer was discussed. Research results show that for the distribution of major parameters in the porous materials, there is little difference between lower-pressure and atmospheric conditions. However, the accumulated moisture is decreased about 15 percent by changing operating pressures to 0.8 atm which could also change the value of effective diffusivity, gaseous density. Therefore, if the pressure is lower than atmospheric pressure, it has a significant impact on improving water transfer in porous material through increasing diffusivity and decreasing the gas-flow rate. ? 2018, Editorial Board of Acta Energiae Solaris Sinica.
