Abstract:Control Valves are important actuators in HVAC system, which play a key role in local flow and energy control in network. There exists a problem that full stroke resistances characteristic are unknown and cannot be described, which leads to mistakes such as quantified valve selection, quantified stroke control, and so on. The paper developed a new dynamic model of continuous control valves, valve hydraulic characteristic status equation (VHCSE), for the unknown and non-quantified dynamic characteristic of control valves. A new calibration method based on VHCSE was discussed about the control valves in field, which exported the VHCSE by fitted a couple of data from reverse processes. The experiments for a test control valve calibration proved that the method is effective and enough accurate for the most needs in the projects. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
