Abstract: Thermogravimetric analysis and constant-temperature drying characteristic of maize straw produced in the north of china were carried out for designing a maize straw drier. The relative content of water and volatilization were achieved. Besides, thermogravimetry characteristic curves at various temperature-increasing rates and water loss rate curves at different temperature and water ratio were also figure out. The results of the experiments showed that the wet-bulb temperature is lower than 150°C and the period of time is 20-30 min in drying procedure of maize straw.
