Abstract:亚瑟·韦利(Arthur Waley)是二十世纪英国最重要的汉学家之一,他的翻译为中国文学作品外传作出了巨大的贡献.韦利一生中只翻译过一部长篇中国小说,即《西游记》,译作名为《猴》(Monkey).该文以操纵理论为理论基础,以韦利的译作《猴》为研究对象,分析孙悟空这个人物在翻译过程中如何被重新塑造.
