Abstract:In this article we study the following quasilinear Schrodinger equation
   -Delta u + V (x)u - Delta(u(2)) u = g (u), x is an element of R-N,
   where V (x) tends to some limit V-infinity > 0 as vertical bar x vertical bar -> infinity and g is an element of C (R, R). We prove the existence of positive solutions by using the Nehari manifold.
