摘要： When the CAD model of a car body is established, it is very complex to create the transitional zone among the beams by manual mode. In order to improve the efficiency of the modeling, an intelligent tool is developed on UG/NX6 platform. First, the endpoints of sections of the beams are ordered. Then the bridge curves order is fixed by calculating the projection angle, and the bridge relation is determined by pairing the starting point to the terminal point. Finally, the bridge curves and transitional zone are automatically created. An example of modeling the side wall of the car body is given to verify the efficiency of the tool.
