Interval Error Observer-based Active Fault Tolerant Control for LPV Systems of the Aero-Engines

摘要:In this paper, an interval error observer-based active fault tolerant control strategy is presented for an aero-engine control system affected by actuator faults and unknown disturbances. First, the aero-engine is described as a linear parameter varying (LPV) representation. Then, an interval error observer-based model reference control strategy is developed composed of feedforward and feedback actions. When the multiplicative actuator faults appear, an active fault tolerant method is proposed based on a reconfiguration of the reference model state and the addition of a virtual actuator block. Both of the reference model control and the virtual actuator technique are extended to an interval formulation to cooperate the estimation error dynamics and boundedness of the interval signals both in nominal and faulty situation. The stability of the control system is also conserved by the Lyapunov functions and input-to-state stability theory. The advantage of this FTC method is that during the reconfiguration procedure, the nominal error feedback controller can still be efficient without retuning its parameter by using of the estimated bounds between the real state and the reference state through the internal observer. Simulation results of an aero-engine system under actuator fault and disturbances verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
