Active Optical Axis Jitter Control by a Magnetostrictive Fast Steering Mirror under Disturbances

摘要:The control accuracy of the fast steering mirror (FSM) is always degraded when suffering a mechanical vibration of the optical platform it mounted on. This paper proposes an active optical axis jitter control scheme by a 2-DOF giant magnetostrictive FSM which is operated under micro-vibration environment. After designing an adaptive direct compensator design based on the fuzzy tree method, a hybrid controller is employed to stabilize the optical axis. Besides, to overcome the instability caused by an initial bias, a proportional-integral (PI) feedback controller is adopted. Laser beam tracking control experiments demonstrated that, in addition to reduce the time-varying and unknown optical axis jitter, the proposed control scheme can still achieve a precise tracking performance when the FSM was under an unknown vibration.
