Bo Wang, of Chinese citizenship, is a recently appointed professor at the Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He is executive Vice Dean of Institude of Science and Technology, deputy director of State Key Lab of Structural Analysis for Industrial Equipment. Professor Wang has authored or co-authored 60 published peer reviewed journal articles and has contributed to more than 30 invited or contributed conference talks. He is the editorial board member of International Journal for Simulation and Multidisciplinary Design Optimization(2015- ).He has severed as the ninth national committee of China association for science and technology(2016- ),Secretary general of Youth work committee of Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics(2015- ).In 2006, He was awarded with Young Scientist of the Forth China-Japan-Korea Joint Symposium on Optimization of Structural and Mechanical Systems. In 2014, He was approved by the ministry of science and technology 973 plan (youth program) and employed  chief scientist. In 2016, He was awarded with Young Changjiang Scholar Professor by Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.

Research Focus

  • 在工程力学、固体力学、计算力学和航空航天力学等领域从事研究。主要研究方向为结构与多学科优化、航天先进材料与结构设计、耐撞性设计,研究工作密切结合国家安全重大装备的结构分析与优化设计,所取得的研究成果绝大部分得到了直接应用。
