Organic solvent extraction and modified aluminum retort experiments of an Indonesian oil sand

摘要:An oil sand of Indonesia was studied by organic solvent extraction and modified aluminum retort experiments. It was found that the toluene soluble substance of the raw sample was about 22wt% including approximate 19wt% organic compounds. Examined the extraction residue by XRD, CaCO<inf>3</inf> was the mainly inorganic compound of the sample. And the mineral carbonates content (CO<inf>2</inf> wt%, as received) of the raw sample accounted for 25.69%. As to aluminum retort experiments, the average yield of char, tar and water was 81.97wt%, 13.98wt% and 1.53wt% under studying temperature ranging. The optimal temperature was 520  C. Reactions without gas carrier may need higher temperature than thermogravimetric experiment which results higher gas phase pressure for mass transfer to acquiring higher tar yield. ?
