Abstract:In the present paper, a new formulation for truss topology optimization problems under buckling constraints is proposed. Within the framework of this formulation, the dificulties associated with sigular optiumum and jumpling of buckling length phenomena can be overcome in an elegant way. Several numerical examples are also presented for demonstration of the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
