Abstract:During hull construction accuracy management, principles of size chain are applied to resolve two problems; to dope out hull structures error by parts of the structure error; to fix on tolerance of parts of hull structures by accuracy target of the structure. In this paper, the calculation of two dimensional size chain on ship accuracy control is expatiated due to the importance of size chain on analysis of error spread and tolerance distribution. Firstly, extremum method and probability method of the calculation of size chain are set forth in detail. Extremum method is educed according as differential coefficient formula of size chains function and since the condition which is considered by extremum method usual ly is the most excessive, the calculation by extremum method is relatively conservative. Based on ad dition principle of normal chorology of probability statistics, probability method is acquired. If vari ables are not of normal, relative distributing difference coefficient, distributing asymmetry coefficient -and dependability coefficient will be used to treat variables as normal. Secondly, the two methods of the calculation of two dimensional size chain are used to dope out hull structures error by parts of the structure error and to fix on tolerance of parts of hull structures by accuracy target of the structure. Lastly, several cases are calculated by extremum method and probability method respectively. Via these cases, they show that principles of size chain may be used effectively to ship accuracy control.
