Abstract:Automatic lifting scheme layout system was developed due to the complicated hull block lifting scheme design. The system regarded lifting scheme's algorithm design as its key part. Side bottom block of VLCC was taken as an example. Through researching and summarizing its characteristic, lifting scheme's algorithm was designed which specially applying to this block. The algorithm was combined with Tribon secondary development about hull block data extraction as well as designing principles and principle of statics. Automatic lifting scheme layout system succeeds in arranging lifting lugs by using this algorithm.
