Abstract:To increase the rate of production for the forming operation in the shipbuilding process and reduce the cost of the experiments, the relatively large deflections of sheet are described and the models of finite element method are built and checked up by experimental measures of dead load forming. The database of the calculations for dead load forming of hull steel plates is established. Data of effective parameters of hull saddle-shaped steel plates are measured, and the effect principles of the primary parameters such as length, width, thickness and radius are qualitatively analyzed, and their curves and data tables are presented. According to beam theory formula, mathematical models are constructed with multi-variable stepwise regression analysis method. It is testified that the model can provide basis for editing the prediction system of dead load forming parameters of hull steel plates.
