Abstract:The ferrite content in as-cast austenitic stainless welded joint before
and after solution treatment was measured by using the multi angle
secant method and computer image processing method, and the
microstructure, impact properties, tensile properties and intergranular
corrosion resistance of the welded joints were analyzed. The results
show that the ferrite content of weld zone in the welded joint is high,
and that of heat affected zone is low. After solution treatment, the
ferrite content of the welded joint decreases obviously, the ferrite
structure in weld zone transfers from lath shape to dispersed points,
and a large number of hard, brittle precipitates are dissolved. Besides,
the impact toughness, the elongation and the intergranular corrosion
resistance of the welded joint increase significantly.
