Abstract:This article was aimed at researching the research frontiers of international innovation theory. Based on literature metrology, we used CiteSpace III to analyze 10 representative journals of international innovation during 2006-2015. The re-sult shows that: Energy innovation is the largest scale research team. The distribution of core authors and institutions trend toward the United States and Europe. The hotspot and trend of international innovation theory is absorptive-capacity and open innovation. In the process of absorptive capacity research, the research content which include enterprise external resour-ces, absorption, and output performance extend to university-industry cooperation and academic achievements transformation. Open innovation performance, enterprise strategic alliance, technology transfer and intellectual property is hotspot in the field of open innovation.
