理学博士，教授、博士生导师，从事等离子体物理数值模拟的科研和教学工作，主要研究方向为：磁约束核聚变等离子体理论与数值模拟，气体放电等离子体理论与数值模拟，航天电推进等离子体理论与数值模拟，电磁波与等离子体相互作用理论与数值模拟，尘埃等离子体理论与数值模拟等。主持和参加多项科技部ITER计划专项国内配套研究项目、国家自然科学基金项目等。发表SCI检索的等离子体物理研究论文100多篇。
