Abstract:The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of polyoxymethylene (POM)
and polyoxymethylene/co-polyamide (POM/COPA) at different cooling rates
were investigated uisng differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The
parameters of non-isothermal crystallization kinetics were obtained
through Jeziorny, Ozawa, and MO methods. It showed that the increase of
cooling rates made the crystallization peaks of POM and POM/COPA moved
towards lower temperature and became wider. The addition of COPA
increased the crystallization temperature and accelerated the
crystallization rate. COPA played a role as a nucleating agent for
non-isothermal crystallization of POM. Both Jeziorny and MO methods
described this system very well.
