Abstract:In order to improve the abrasion resistance of the steel, nanometer Ni-TiN composite layers were prepared by plus-deposition method on the stainless steel. We studied the effects of TiN particles concentration, current density and churning rate on the abrasion of the composite layers. Using high respective transmission electron micrographs (HRTEM), we observed composite layers and tested them in corrosion resistance experiments. The test results show that the optimum technology parameters of Ni-TiN composite layers are as follows; TiN particles concentration is 4 g/L, current density is 4 A/dm2 and churning rate is 2000 r/min. In nanometer Ni-TIN composite layers, the diameter of nanometer TiN particles does not exceed 50 nm and the nickel grains are fined. And the composite layers have better corrosion resistance.
