Abstract:By using self-developed electromagnetic stirring-cooling slope (EMS-CS) equipment, semi-solid AlSi9Cu3 alloy slurry was prepared. Effects of slope angle, pouring temperature and EMS voltage on microstructure of AlSi9Cu3 alloy were investigated by orthogonal test method. The results show that the three factors influencing the average equivalent diameter of the primary phase are as follows: pouring temperature, slope angle, EMS-voltage, and they influencing the average shape factor of the primary phase are as follows: EMS-voltage, slope angle, pouring temperature. The optimized processing parameters for preparing the semi-solid slurry with desirable structure are presented as slope angle of 25��~35��, pouring temperature of 650��C and EMS voltage of 200 V-300 V.
