电磁铸造铝扁锭的电磁场数值模拟

Abstract:In order to optimize the technological process of electromagnetic casting (EMC), a coupled model of mutual inductance has been used to simulate the electromagnetic field of EMC aluminum slab. The influence of screening positions, power supply frequency, etc. on the magnetic intensity distribution has been researched. The calculated results show that the liquid column except the meniscus, is vertical at side and even in height, which is beneficial to eliminate the dimensional change of ingot due to any occasional fluctuation of liquid level. It is also found that the interposing of screen into the inductor system can obviously weaken the magnetic intensity in the topside of liquid column and stabilize the shape of liquid column. The higher the frequency is, the better the screening effect is. Moreover, the calculated induced heat coincides well with the measured result, which has been successfully used to simulate the temperature field of EMC.
