Abstract: An aniline-rhodamine-based ratiometric fluorescent probe (RI) was designed and synthesized. RI, the metal coordinating chromophoric ligand, exhibited high selectivity and sensitivity for Pd2+ ions with a detection limit of 73.8 nM. This method of Pd2+ detection had a 10 min response time.
