Abstract: The current paper discusses the selection of Manson-Haferd constants for rupture life prediction by comparison with Larson-Miller method. It indicates that the change of Larson-Miller constant C(LM) has obvious effect on the predicting result of rupture life. However, for Manson-Haferd parameter model, constant T(a) and logt(a) are not independent variable but show a linear relationship: logt(a)=27.015-0.0267T(a). It is shown that desirable correlation results and prediction accuracy can be obtained even the values of Manson-Haferd constants (T(a), logt(a)) are selected in a wide range. Unified Manson-Haferd constants of T(a)=450 and logt(a)=15 are recommended to analyze the creep rupture data with high prediction accuracy.
