Abstract:Urban main function area planning is a spatial planning which takes space control as its main objective and promotes urban and regional development. In this paper, the authors make an optimization analysis of urban function regional planning based on big data and geographic information system. The main function of city function regional planning is to restrict or guide the land use, so as to provide the basis for the rational use of urban space. Planning is mainly based on the index as resources and environment carrying capacity, the existing development density and development potential. Through the help of GIS technology, designers can better optimize the city regional functional positioning.
