Abstract:Medium access control (MAC) directly affects the effectiveness and the realtime property of the wireless network. When the network is busy, the packet-losing would happen in the wireless network with IEEE 802.15.4. This paper introduces a new MAC protocol with dynamic priority to modify IEEE 802.15.4 such that the network nodes access fairly into the network. It is observed from the simulation that the proposed protocol not only meets the requirement of highly network service efficiency, but also reduces the probability of packet-losing greatly. ? 2012 ICIC International.
