Research Field

Ping Yi:   holds a B.S. degree in engineering mechanics from Hunan University, China, a M.S. degree and a Ph.D. degree in mechanics from Dalian University of Technology, China. She was a visiting scholar at Rutgers University, U.S., for one year and currently a professor of Dalian University of Technology. Serves as a committee member of the Structural Design Fundamentals Committee of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association, and is a member of the International Association for Computational Mechanics, the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering. Currently engaged in research on structural reliability analysis and reliability-based structural optimization design, as well as teaching fundamental mechanics courses in both Chinese and English. Has authored 8 textbooks and translated 1 book, with over 80 research papers published, including more than 30 SCI-indexed articles. The research work has been well-received and acknowledged by experts both domestically and internationally. Regularly serves as a reviewer for several international journals and core domestic journals, including "Computational Mechanics," "Structural & Multidisciplinary Optimization," "Probabilistic Engineering Mechanics," "KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering," "Engineering Optimization," "Engineering Computations," "Mathematical Problems in Engineering," "Civil Engineering Infrastructures Journal," "Acta Mechanica," "Advances in Mechanical Engineering," and "Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation."

 

The main projects undertaken include:

(1) National Natural Science Foundation of China, " Reliability analysis of soil slope stability based on three-dimensional non-stationary random field model";

(2) National Natural Science Foundation of China, "New free falling spherical penetrometer and identification method of soil parameters" ;

(3) Dalian Science and Technology Bureau, "Reliability-based design optimization of deep sea wind power sharing anchor foundation in the whole life cycle".
