Abstract:A homogeneous model is proposed, both the water and air phase are treated as one liquid, but have different physics parameters, and the phases are tracked by solving a volume fraction function. This model bases on a solution of Navier-Stokes and continuity equations. Constrained Interpolation Profile (CIP) is adopted to discretize the equations, a compressible CFD model is developed. The result from this model shows that the presence of air reduces the impact pressure in some position of the structure as a cushion, and in the meantime it may lead a higher pressure peak in some other points.
