Abstract: lA novel Ru(II) tris-bipyridyl complex, Ru(bpy)(2)[bpy(CO2H)(CO2Et)][PF6](2) is prepared in a simple and convenient process. It will be an alternative of Ru(bpy)(2)bpy(CO2Et)(2)(PF6)(2) to be used in solar cells as photosensitive dyes.
