Abstract: One of the key technologies of controlled fault interruption (CFI) is rapid fault inception detection. An algorithm based on F0 hypothesis test was proposed to detect the fault initial time. The relationship between F0 value and the signal noise ratio of the sampled current data was analyzed, then the fault criterion was found based on probability distribution, and the error rate of the proposed algorithm should be less than. An algorithm based on Forgetting Factor Recursive Least Square (FFRLS) was used to estimate the current parameters. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can detective the most fault in 3 ms and there was no mistake found to detect fault current in simulation. ? 2011 by Binary Information Press.
