Numerical investigation of flow and heat transfer in the 7 ? multi-channel of CC primary surface recuperators

摘要:The investigations on the three-dimensional steady laminar flow and heat transfer characteristics for the 7 ? multi-channel with the sine-wave crossed-corrugated primary surface are conducted using numerical simulation in this paper. Comparing the results with those obtained from 5 ? multi-channel, we find that the results from 7 ? multi-channel are more approaching to the experiment's results, and the relative error is much less than that from 5 ? cells'. Besides, a complete analysis on the flow and heat transfer performance from 0 to 90 degrees are supplemented in this paper. And the effects of the different ratio of the wave length P to height H (P/H) on the flow and heat transfer performance are studied simultaneously. The results show that, under the condition of the same P/H, Nusselt number (Nu) and friction factor (f) increase with the increasingθ. Nu increases when the Reynolds (Re) enhances, while f decreases. In addition, Nu ascends with the enhancing P/H when it is between 1 and 3, while f has nearly no change. But they both descend when it is between 3 and 4. With the comprehensive consideration of all aspects, the recuperator with better performance is optimized and designed.
