Abstract:Through the accumulation of ozone generated by plasma in water solution, organic pollutions would be oxidized. In this experiment, the mixture of two kinds of VOCs (TCE and M-xylene) was chosen as the treatment object. Positive and bipolar pulse high voltage were both introduced into pulse corona discharge reactor (edge-plate and wire-plate electrode configuration), and the removal of mixed VOCs was investigated by pulse corona discharge combined with solution absorption. The result indicated that the characteristics of pulse high voltage power supply matching with the electrode configuration of plasma reactor had important influences to the injection of pulse energy and removal of mixed pollutions. In the case of water volume at 300mL, temperature at 25 degrees C and pH at 11.0, the removal efficiencies of TCE and M-xylene with absorption process were 10% higher than that without absorption process.
