Abstract:Loading plate in fuselage flutter model is a thin-walled plate which is divided into regions with different thickness, so the design and manufacture is a difficult job. In this paper, topology optimum design of loading plate in fuselage flutter model for frequencies is presented. A thin-walled plate of variable thickness is converted to a constant thickness plate with holes. The method of Bi-directional Evolutionary Structural Optimization (BESO) is introduced. To avoid checkerboard pattern, Sensitivity Redistribution Method (SRM) and the way of manual control are used together Numerical example of loading plate in a fuselage flutter model shows that the design efficiency is raised and the manufacturing technique is greatly simplified.
