Abstract: The basic contour diagrams of the M set are briefly reviewed. With the method combining escape-line diagram of the generalized M sets and bifurcation diagram of a family of one-dimensional maps, the dynamics of a family of one-dimensional maps are studied and the graphic method to determine the period of midgets corresponding to the map is given.
