Abstract: The information choice behaviors of public transit travelers make significant effect on the application of ATIS. Based on the special investigation of public transit information requirement in Dalian, this study examines influencing factors of ATIS information choice behaviors of public transit travelers. After analyzing the relative importance of potential ATIS information aspects, it proposes four ATIS information factors. In addition, a Binary Logit model of ATIS Information choice behavior is presented to describe the relativity and internal relationship among the factors; gender, career, information aspects, and so on. The results indicate that it is important to highlight people-oriented system in the construction and operation of ATIS.
