Abstract:Nano-HZSM-5 molecular sieve catalyst was applied to selective catalytic cracking of mixed diisopropylbenzenes(DIPB) into m-DIPB in a micro fixed-bed reactor, which could be used in preparation of 1,3-benzenediol. Effects of reaction temperature and WHSV on the selective catalytic cracking were investigated. It was showed that under the conditions of pressure 0.1 MPa, reaction temperature 420C, WHSV 3 h-1 and carrier gas N2, conversion of p-DIPB in the cracking reached 89.8%, and 72.7% m-DIPB yield and 90.2% m-DIPB mass fraction in the product were obtained (the results were the average values in reaction 8 h). Carbon deposition on the catalyst could be reduced effectively through adding benzene and disusing the carrier gas. The nano-HZSM-5 molecular sieve catalyst was modified by different methods. The results revealed that activity and stability of the nano-HZSM-5 molecular sieve catalyst could be improved significantly through hydrothermal-treatment for 12 h. If m-DIPB mass fraction in the product DIPB is high, efficiency of the subsequent separation process can be heightened.
