Abstract:In this paper, according to the rock failure damage theories and the gas-solid coupling method, RFPA(2D)-GasFlow soft code is used to investigate the distribution characteristics of microseism for gassy coal in failure process. Herein, the distribution characteristics of microseism in time and space prediction potential failure danger area are considered. Simulation results show that there is some microseism precursory before the main shock, which is calculated based on the characteristics of microseism in time. The characteristics of microseism precursory made by tension stress in space can be used to divide potential failure danger areas. It is found that the potential failure danger area is consistent with crack initiatory zones by contrasted potential failure danger area to crack development process. Therefore, the development of cracks can by prevented through taken precautions and cure measures to prevent potential failure danger area; consequently preventing the occurrence of mine disasters.
