Abstract:GPRS is suitable for wireless transmission systems because of its flexibility, extensibility, convenience, low cost and high speeds in communication network establishments. Field monitoring data for the microseismic monitoring system project are real-time and continuous. Qualified microseismic analysis technique personnel and large-scale computer equipment is also lacking in sites. Monitoring data should be transmitted to the computer center server. GPRS remote wireless transmission technology is used widely for microseismic monitoring system projects. The function and characteristics of GPRS in the microseismic data transporting are explained, its realization forms is summarized, and the advantages and disadvantages of every form are analyzed. This further explains how GPRS has an important market future and application. These results show that microseismic monitoring information is transmitted in time to the computer server by GPRS to realize scientific management and analysis. This greatly accelerates the analysis and judgement efficiency.
