Abstract: A non-covalent interactions' concept for proteins' fluorescent sensor of solvent-sensitive naphthalimide dyes was developed on basis of enzyme-inhibitor principle, which could selectively bind certain hydrolases with significant fluorescence enhancements and apparent blue-shifts in emission wavelength.
