Dr. Prof. Xiyun Cai was born in 1978 in Shandong province, China. Xiyun Cai graduated in Environmental Engineering at Wuhan University in 2001. He received his PhD in Environmental Science from Zhejiang University in 2006 and received united training by Zhejiang Branch of National Pesticides R&D South Center during 2002-2003. He was a postdoctoral fellowship at Dalian Raiser Pesticides, China. Presently, he is a full professor in the School of Environmental Science & Technology at Dalian University of Technology. He is the coauthor of more than 40 research publications (Researcher ID: http://www.researcherid.com/rid/H-6181-2011) and four patents. He serves as a member of American Chemical Society (ACS), Chemical Society of China (CSC), China Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES), and Chinese Society of Toxicology (CST). His current research interest involves environmental fate and control technologies of organic pollutants (e.g., pesticides, PAHs, and antibiotics). He is also involved in developing new environmentally friendly pesticides by utilizing natural macromolecules and biogas waste materials.
